We need to cram as much as possible into the next couple of days as the Intrepid trip finishes 03/12 and we fly to New Zealand 04/12.

Today we spent the full day visiting two coastal resorts a couple of hours from Santiago.

Valparaiso and Vina del Mar are both places the Chilians may go for a holiday. The most striking thing was the vast array of the colours of the houses - just as you would imagine in Latin America. Nice beach but the towns not necessarily memorable.

The journey there was good as we had to cross the coastal range and we were able to see some of the countryside. But the day was probably not one of the most interesting, which is a shame as the rest of the trip has been great.

Got back mid-afternoon and went out to see some of Santiago. We have a city tour tomorrow with Juan before saying our goodbyes.
