This is first stop on tour. Actually an old abby from the5/6 century. Scenery really fantastic. After finishing here we went down to see on of the famine ships, The Dunbrody. Again the history is really interesting. These ships carried lots of immigrants to US, Australia etc in and around the tikme of the famine. Some Egan's and Walshs (relatives back up the tree a bit) were passangers on these ships. The details given here didn't give destinations but they have given us web addresses where we can find out more info.We then checked into our hotel at Waterford. and 1/2 hour later did a walking tour of the place with a local guide. He to was reallytop notch and tour and history very interestingThis was another vibrant and interesting town
