Soo... After having tried to accept and adapt to the heat I decided to give it up. It is just too hot. It starts at 7am with about 30 degrees, and around 2pm it's 39-42. During the night it's a bit cooler, around 25 degrees. And this wind. A constantly blowing hot wind, very tiresome. Anyway... So we started in Alice Springs with planned stops at Kings Canyon, Olga, Ayers Rock, Coober Pedy and so on. Basically, we just drive from the middle of Australia to the Southern coast, only 2500km. And this in 5 days. That means we get up at 4 or 5am, make a walk somewhere in the desert, get on the bus and drive around. Doesn't sound exciting? Well, depends. I think the rocks, mountains and stones are nice to see and quite impressive, but after a couple of days you've seen it! In addition, our group was terrible this time - most people couldn't or worse wouldn't speak any English and so I was left with 3 German guys. They were fun, but after 5 days I was happy to say goodbye. Check out the pics, some are quite nice I think. Most rocks are traditional Aborigine ritual sites and have special meanings and purposes - fortunately we had a good guide who explained all in detail, verdict: interesting.
I hope you doing all good at home and see you healthy soon
