Day 6, time to wrap up those loose ends...
We made it to NEMO's today. What a gas...electrical gizzmos and mechanical perpetual motion machines and magnetically charged assembly machines and static electricity recreational machines. Then there's always the low tech end... Some things you don't need to know how they work,..it's enough to know that they just work. Then from four in the afternoon till 10...10:30 we just hopped from bar to bar, peaing in one then buying a drink in the next one down the block so we could go there in 20 min...and so on,amd so on. Time's up, take a cab to base camp and pack your suitcase, cause tomorrow is a travel day. Ferry to England tomorrow, Ride the tram from here to Central Station, then inter-city train (electric big guage track), Then board the ferry, (5 1/2 hrs. to English soil) then we have another inter-city, that will get us to downtown London at Liverpool St. Don't sk me where that is, cause It's all greek to me. Chances are there's no way we can keep that schedule and we'll end up with a sleeper on the ferry. Oh well... casino is open 24 hrs. That is the last we will see of Amsterdam for a few weeks (3..?) Itialy seems to have stolen the spotlight for the next place to go, maybe Portugal after all. The WRC (world rally) is in town on June ...first week...sometime . Bottom line is, the garbage strike was just settled today, so it will take a week or two to clean the dump off the bottom of my shoes, so we`re going London, But we'll be back!! YA !!
