Got up around 08:00...ya I'm learning how to sleep in...had a couple wonderful coffees....A&P 8 o'clock..I haven't had that in years. Gus was kind enough to let me drive him to his place of business and I then went to the Clearwater beach for a few hours. It was fantastic..I stayed as long as I could given the heat...went for a long easy walk in the surf....went swimming..or in my case wading in the salt water and had a nice grupper sandwich and Carona for lunch. I then talked to Glen at Glen's MG. The noise is gone and they have put on an MGB timing chain cover. It has a rubber rather than felt oil seal. We talked a lot about the oil pressure and I have decide to get him to replace the oil pump...something I should have/could have done a month ago. He will also check for wear and scoring on the crankshaft while the bottom of the engine is apart. His cost for this is very reasonable and I have OK'ed it. The last thing I want to do is worry coming home the last 1500-2000 miles right. I do not blame Car for this. So if all goes well I will get Car back on Tues. Gus has been very gracious in letting me stay at his place for the duration. So I'll have to 'Cowboy up' in the lovely city of St. Petersburg in Gus's pad....Hmmmmmmmm
