The flight over was a long and pretty arduous one... two stops on the way one being Brunei (tiny airport with lots of construction) and the other being Dubai (we were supposed to stop 3 hours but stopped around 30 minutes) they made us get off the plane what would of equated to 2am and do a lap of the airport.  Good to get the blood circulating in the legs I say.

Pretty un-eventful flight, I chose the gluten free option as didn't want the bread bloating feeling and it was the right choice, not only did you get feed first but you seemed to get quite a few chocolate options.  Main meals were predominenlty fish, not sure why the cows, chickens and pigs have gluten in them but there you go!!!

Arrived into London just before 6am, feeling rather worse for wear I think I had around 3 hours sleep and that would have been during movies I really wanted to watch!

Cleared customs no worries and didn't even have to get my bags checked.

Avoided the exhorbitent costs of using the Heathrow Express and took the Piccadilly Line train in for 1/4 of the cost and 3 times slower but hey I had a lot of time on my hands in the morning.

Dragged my suitcase to my accommodation at Tune Hotels and clever AirAsia concept where you pay for the things you need extra.  I needed a shower, which thankfully was free (towel extra).

The lovely guy at reception I think took pity on me when I arrived at just past 8am and I asked if I could book in early, yes for 15 pounds I could, my room was ready then, 15 pounds well spent I say.  The room is minimalist and to my delight I am underground, just like my appartment back home.

I had a shower, used the wifi I had booked and texted Peter letting him know I arrived and Jan, letting her know I had gotten there and then unpacked.  Well if you call sliding the suitcase under the bed as there was no cupboard space.

I got changed and then headed off to Virgin Gym Broadgate.  After almost 36 hours at airports and in planes and on trains I needed to stretch my legs.  I handed over my letter from Melbourne Virgin for my 21 free visits and booked into PUMP class, while waiting I had a walk on the treadmill.  You'd be proud of me Paula exercising before noon the first day I arrive in London.

I then head off to my first meeting.... overwhelming to say the least, but glad to be part of it!
