I wake up early as I have a bus leaving at 10am and there is limited transport for the May Day Holiday. I just don't realise how limited.
Patricia isn't up yet so I leave her a note and a kangaroo keyring thanking her for her hospitality. I get to the station near Patricias only to be told I have missed the 8.57am train and there is not another one until 10.30am. My bus leaves at 10am. The walk is about 45mins, there are no buses and no trams.
Luckily I ask the guy about a taxi and he finds me one across the road. So I now have to pay to leave Marseille.
I get to the station and I have almost an hour to kill. I go to the places where the buses leave 20 mins early and notice there is only one to Nice. When the driver finally arrives I try and speak to him and a passenger explains I am in the wrong area, there is another bus place and my bus leaves from near the Hotel Ibis. Merde! Merde! Merde! It is 10.01am, damn you Marseille!!
I go to the other bus place and there is one at 10.30am but it only takes 45 mins not an hour as it stops less places, that's not too bad, I can't wait to leave Marseille and it is a pity I have to come back in a few days to get a train up to Lyon.
I get on the bus and all is well. Jordan had sent me the directions and it seems like his place is far from the station and there are no buses and as I am 15mins late I get a taxi. When I get there, they had left to go to the bus station to pick me up.
