I arrived back in Auckland on the Friday and I had arranged to go to Lisa's for the evening as it was her last night, we had a bottle or two of wine and a great meal and swapped our stories of our time in NZ. The next morning I dropped off at the bus station.
The last few weeks have gone so quickly, but I have managed to fit in all that I have wanted to do. I have a new tattoo.
It is my life story (well so far!) in a Maori design. Lisa had had one done by a guy, but I couldn't get hold of him, so Jackie and I went on a mission to find me a tattooest and we did. It was the same guy who did Robbie Williams's one. Jackie came with me when I had it done, the design is beautiful and a one off. It bloody hurt and at one point I thought I would either pass out or throw up, but it was worth it.
Jackies brother Hamish is in a band called breaks co-op, the other two guys are Andy Lovegrove and Zane Lowe (he's meant to be big on radio one - never heard of him myself!) well any ways they have just released a new album called the sound inside and it's really good. It's well up the charts here, but I don't think that it's due for release in the UK for a while yet.
Jackie took me around to see Hamish and on the off chance that he could turn into a mega star I got him to sign a poster and the cover of my CD. He's a really nice guy, very tall 6'8"
I have had to put on a couple of pictures of my other house mates while I have been staying at Jackies and Ian's. There's Cleo the dog, she is lovely and built like a tank, very solid and Toru the cat and my life long friend (mainly because I feed her more than she should be I think. Just like a cat!)
I am nearly all packed now and ready to leave, I will really miss this country and the friends I have made, but I positive that I will seem then all again.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has helped me on this trip. My family for supporting me on my decision to come in the first place, my friends back home whom have remembered me and kept in touch and all the new friends I have made while I have been here. Without you all I think I would have never have made it, right enough of this sentimental rubbish, I sound like I'm going to die or something.
I think this will be my last entry for a while as I leave tomorrow and I'm not sure when I'll get to another Internet café.
