The Catlin's wilderness is along the southern coast of the south island and has some stunning landscapes and wildlife.
We stopped at the Petrified Forest, which is on the coast. It boasts some very weird and old tree stump fossils. You really needed the map to show you where they were; if you look at the picture there is a guy in an orange t-shirt right next to one. Still no penguins
Next we stopped at a small cove and we saw some seals. They are really big close up and run bloody fast!!.
Another cove and this time dolphin's, you can't really see them in this picture but the bay is lovely anyway!.
On again and this time to the most southern point in New Zealand and some sheep!
Next port of call was to pick a lady up from a hostel; it was really strange around here, as there was a haze all around when we got closer it was the sand.
We finally got into Dunedin at about 3pm, not really enough time to do anything so I booked to stay there for two nights.
