We had been in the house for Two days and we were loving it, I friend I had met on my last stay here was coming over to see me after she finished work at about 10.30pm. Yannie had phones me saying that she couldn't find the drive way that led to the house, so I went down to find her.
Our Drive is gravel and dirt and is very steep and halfway up the is a hairpin bend and no lights.
On my way down i lost my footing and ended up near the bottom-NOT GOOD. I hurt all over and couldn't stand up, my ankle was throbbing. I had my phone on me and called Esther, who promptly told me to stop messing around. I burst into tears of pain and told her to come and help me. From the bottom I could hear Yannie calling me and from the top Esther. eventually they both found me and helped me up to the house. A bandage, ice and my foot up on the pillow made me feel a little better, but the pain killers really did the trick. By the morning my ankle resembled a very large water melon and it was killing me. Esther found some sticks from the garden and we made our way to the Doctors. He was a really nice Scotish guy, who had been living here for over 20years but still had his twang. He looked at my foot and promptly sent me to the hospital for Xray- just what I needed a broken ankle.
After a really expensive cab ride later we arrived at the local A&E, very small only two beds.
After the Xray the Dr. told me there were no broken bones, but I had torn tendons, twisted it to hell and bruised it and that she wanted to put it into a cast for a week- NO WAY was my answer. so i got it strapped up and was given crutches and sent home.
Another cab back and some painkillers and all was well.HAHAHAHAHA
