Esther and I had paid for two nights at centrabays and then we would start work and move into the staff quarters. We spent the first two days relaxing in the spa pool and looking for jobs. It became a little dishearting going everywhere and being told that there were no jobs for a couple of weeks, but we left our names and numbers in the hope that they would call us back.
On the third day we moved into the staff dorm, with the other girls- they weren't very tidy even by my standards. I was cleaning bedrooms and Esther was on the washing. We spent some of the afternoon in the garden and the rest walking around town looking for jobs again.
The following afternoon we headed back into town job hunting again, when we saw and advert for rooms to rent in a house, we phoned the number. I reached a man called Ed who asked a lot of very personal question-age, where were we from etc.. I thought this was a bit much so gave him a dose of his own medicen and asked a load back. I don't think he had encountered this before, but we met him and he took us up to the house.WOW. We have now found out that this house has the best view in the whole town and you can see why from the photos.
We are now sharing a room, just the two of us and it is great . We moved in the same day, Sparta was great about us leaving her so soon, we did offer to stay on if she needed us but she said it was ok.
We packed up our stuff and moved in to the White house, this is how everyone in the town knows it.
the house is made from Kauri wood and is at the top of a very big hill. We share the house with Two German lads Ewv and Johnnas, Three German girls-Nickie, Doris and Elonor and a Canafian Girl Jackie. They are all nice and we have a good time.
It's great to have my own space again.
