We all got up at about 9am this morning, have no idea how considering the time we all went to bed last night. Went for breakfast, I had pancakes and maple syrup Yum
Mo and I headed off towards the local Sunday market; it's very steep and hilly here. We had a great time at the market; I could have brought the lot. It's a lot like covent market. I did buy a pair of trainers; my feet were really hurting in my walking boots. I also found penguin socks, a penguin sign and a pair of toy penguins that sing.
After the market we walked down to the marina, lovely place a lot like docklands. We were sitting at the harbor and I thought I was losing the plot because I started to hear bag pipes, the mo heard them so we followed the sound and in the middle of Victoria Park, and Auckland New Zealand there was a full bag pipe band, with drums. They were practicing as they enter a lot of competitions and the season was starting soon. We stopped and listened for a while they were really good.
After that we had a roam abound the marina and went on the free bus ride around the city. We came back to base for an all you can eat roast dinner and a few beers in the bar. I entered the pool comp, but got knocked out after a few rounds. We found Simon, a polish guy from the BP's board. His nice but we have a bit of a problem with the langue barrier. His English is great compared to my polish, but were all getting there.
I have met some very nice and interesting people here. You would never put us all together in a room in a million years and expect us to get on but here it doesn't seem to matter what you do or where you're from. It's a nice feeling.
P/S Sarah if you read this, please send me your e-mail address. I think I have taken it down wrong.
