Mark woke up feeling pretty crumby, but as we had some business to take care of in the city, he felt obliged to swing into action. The kids would have been happy to hang out at the apartment all day, but we did need to find a certain bank and transfer some money (to book an accommodation for next month in England).
So off we went in search of the illusive bank. We got to the right location and went around and around the area, asking people about it as we went. Several people pointed us in what they felt was the right direction, until one person told us the bank had been closed. So, plan B -- brother Dave to the rescue! Again!
Our search hadn't totally been for nothing, as one place we did discover in the process was the huge mall -- over 200 stores! The girls thought this was too good to pass up, and since Mark and Jack much prefered the idea of going home, we split up again.
I went shopping with the girls, but luckily, we didn't find much to buy. And Mark and Jack went back to the apartment to rest and use the computer.
When we returned, several hours later, Mark had improved just enough to feel up to a trip across the street to the pub. That was a good sign. I made a lovely (travel) vichyssoise for dinner -- which everyone loved, even Jack -- and we had an early night.
