It was a slow start to the day, as we were busy with booking things through the computer and researching info., so we didn't go to the zoo as planned.  But we did get lots of chores done and eventually got out and explored around the neighbourhood.

The area is fairly busy, with a tram line running through.  There are beautiful old apartment buildings and many shops along the streets. To Mark's and my delight, set in the lovely treed area right across the street, there is a pub.  We decided that to get to know the local people, we really must spend some time there!

The apartment is small-ish, but clean and comfortable, and with good-quality windows to block out the traffic and rattling of the tram.  The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. It is an old building with a lovely old, wide stone staircase.  Just next door is a restaurant, and as we hadn't gone out for groceries, we thought we should try it out for dinner.  The people there were very friendly, and the food was nice, especially the crepes for dessert, which the kids loved.

If we can get an earlier start tomorrow, we will go to the zoo!
