We must have a New Years Celebration.

Meri got an e-mail from Deaf friends in Bangkok. They were people whom she met earlier in December before I came.
They were going to have a 3-day camp out in Khao Yai wildlife National Park. Khao Yai is the oldest national park in Thailand and one with prowling tigers and panthers, wild monkeys, boars and deer. We were going to camp out at a peak time when most of the animals roam around the park.

We hurried back to Bangkok, checked in our guest room, washed clothes and repack for the 3-day camp. Five families with children came. We were going to have a Thai BBQ, beer and fireworks.

The next day, January 1st, we went into the park. It was pretty crowded when we got to the national park. I saw monkeys and one of the kids heard a tiger growl the whole time we were sitting in the back of the truck and waiting in a long traffic line. One of the little girl was worried that a tiger would hop in the truck with us. She started crying.
She was really scared.

It was not likely to happen because there were a number of guards on horses walking on the roadsides, protecting the traffic from wildlife dangers. We weren't the only truck with a load of people sitting in the back. Though that a tiger was heard, I was not able to catch a glimpse of them in the wild. Instead I saw monkeys, deer and a beautiful exotic bird.

Now go ahead and check my pictures out.
