Now a tour inside old Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is an old city that has been divided and then reunited. It is claimed as capital by both Israelis and Palestinians. Jerusalem is a religious hearth for Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Within the city walls you will find the city divided into quarters, the Muslim quarter, Jewish quarter, Christian quarter and the Armenian quarter.

I'd describe old Jerusalem city a living history. It is a labyrinth of many streets, walkways and stalls. And is more than 3000 years old.

I'd recommend you to visit. Better go when poltical tension is relaxed. We had to be on the lookout for our own safety.

Sign language
Is there a universal sign language that people from many different countries can understand? I have heard of 'Americn sign language'. From its name I guess it is only used in America. But you were able to sign/converse with the Jewish man. Could you explain?

Great Travelogue. You might want to check my trip to palestine in July 2002. radsolv
