Another lazy day by the pool yesterday.  Early evening there was a wine tasting at the hotel.  Not so much wine tasting - rather wine drinking!  The wine here is one of the things that is actually more expenive than at home - so free wine for an hour was too good a deal to miss!  They served some really nice snacks as well and whilst I tucked into these Helen made her way down the beach to take some shots of a spectacular sunset - the first proper one we've had on Koh Lanta. 


Then a taxi into town.  Now when I say taxi, the taxis here are pick-up trucks with benches in the back.  Sounds a bit odd but on a hot sticky evening they are the best form of transport around!

A little bit of retail therapy at the market and then I got my haircut.  On reflection it may be a shade on the short side.  Anyway, I now have a bandana to keep the sun off my head.

It's another beautiful sunny and hot day today - once we've finished this it will off for a light lunch.  Then this evening it's prawn night at the hotel.  We saw some people having prawns last week when we arrived (can it really be a week ago?) they looked fantastic.  The considered opinion is that two prawns makes for a healthy sized main course - yep, they are big!
