I am still not getting used to flying business class and going to top hotels... The budget of a one-week business trip would easily pay a few months travelling, for example.
Well at least in Singapore I didn't stay near the airport: I had asked for a hotel in town... because I had plans to visit a bit the city.
In fact I was completely shattered, fell asleep in my bath, then it was already night. I met up with Alice, an Austro-frenchie, who I was sent to by by good friend Marco who had met her on a boat offshore Norway...
Alice is a charming young lady, as I had been warned, and she was accompanied by two equally charming friends, leaving me in company of three single ladies for Valentine's day. We had a nice evening chatting, but I was such a bad Valentine date that they had to go and pick up their roses thelselves...
At some point late in the evening, or early in the night, I accompanied them to a nightclub, and managed to say goodbye at the entrance... how wise is that, hey? If I had stepped in there, I would have got lost!
Indeed waking up the next day was a nightmare, mainly because of the jetlag. I just had a walk on Orchard Road, where I saw the biggest Chanel, Hugo Boss, etc... shops I had ever seen; I did not manage to have time to visit the botanical gardens; but I did almost manage to miss my flight to Balikpapan...
