I headed off to Iguazu and met up with a friend I made in Santiago. This place was amazing. The first day we didn´t go to the park. Instead, we took a guide service into the jungle to trek, zipline through trees (sweet!), and rapel down a 50 foot waterfall. The whole thing was like $22. The next day we went to the park and took a service that starts out with a jungle tour in a 4x4 (waste of $15 considering what we did the day before) and then we took a dingy through the rapids and to the falls (absolutely worth the $15). The rapids were cool enough but to see the falls off in the distance coming closer and closer was a pretty damn cool way to be introduced. The boat took us slightly under two different sections of the falls (including the famous Devils Throat), and that was the icing on the cake! After that we trekked around taking pictures from below and the trail systems built above the falls. The weather was perfect that day (didn´t realize that it usually rains there - rainforest, duh). Not a cloud in the sky and I got several sweet shots of rainbows (insert rainbow joke here)...

Yo Pat!
Awesome pictures! And Yes, who is that babe in the hard hat?? You go, man! Have you alerted the rest of the Eurekans about what you're up to??? Just in case you haven't, I'll make a post to the Eurekan Hikers Yahoo group right away. Thanks for keeping us up to date with your travels. I'm jealous. E.G.

Ola Pat, ¿Cómo esta?
Pat,

¿Habla usted español todavía? You must be picking up quite a bit of Spanish and Portuguese on your travels. Are you still making your way through Brazil?

Regards,

Nels
