The next two days we were in
St. Petersburg, Russia. Having spent two weeks in Russia, I knew what to expect. The city itself sets itself along a river. We visited some of the famous palaces and parks. The dome churches are something to admire, many of them are plated with gold.
St. Petersburg is an international city filled with designer shops and ethnic restaurants. Add
Moscow to the mix and what you have our two cities that would compare to any major city in the world. However, these two cities really separate themselves from all the Russian cities and I don’t think you really get the true Russian experience without seeing some of the smaller cities.
