Where I stayed
Casa Del Palmas
From Caracas I flew to Cartagena, Colombia. Cartagena is mixture of African, Caribbean, and Spanish culture. I spent my short stay here exploring the historic center. Surrounded by a castle wall, Christopher Columbus and other European explores used this as a major port during the New World era.
Inside the center are alleys plastered with vibrant blues, yellows, whites, and oranges. The colors are as rich as the African, Spanish, and indigenous people that inhabitat the peninsula. And like most seaside towns, the atmosphere is relajada. Tomorrow, I leave on 12-15 hour bus ride to Medellin.
