Today we got up early and headed to Universal Studios. We were all pretty excited. When we got there we parked in the Spider-Man section and then walked through Citywalk to Universal studios. We collected our tickets and straight away joined the queue for Shrek 4D. The kids then had their photo taken with Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey. We then walked past the Transformers and the kids had their picture taken with Optimus Prime before heading to E.T.From there we went on Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse coaster, they had their picture taken with Barney, BJ and Baby-Bop. We went through the World Expo area. Going on the Simpsons Ride, Twirl and Hurl and then Men in Black Alien attack. All pretty cool rides. We had definitely chosen a good day to come as there were hardly any queues. Rich and the kids went back on the ride while Rorke and I waited outside and had lunch. They joined us afterwards. We then headed to watch the Barney show which the kids all loved. So great to watch them. From there we headed to the Disaster show which was pretty impressive. When we came out it was pouring but it didn't stop us we ran out in the rain towards Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue, which was pretty good. The rain stopped soon after just a typical passing shower. Got to see Dracula, Frankenstein and his bride, The Werewolf and Beetlejuice, he cracked a good few jokes which just went over the kids heads!! Classic. From here we went on the Transformers 3D ride which as Rorke put it, it was awesome. We had to do child swop for the Mummy ride, only Rich and Courtney and I went on, very cool. We then went to see the Animals in Action show. Another downpour so we ducked into a shop and the kids got to have their photo with Spongebob. Saw the dogs from Buddy, Beethoven and Men in Black, the bird from Pet Detective and a few other animals - they were so cute and it is really amazing what the trainers can do with them, impressive. We then went to Twister and from there headed back on E.T.before watching the parade. From there Rich headed off to go on the Hollywood Rip-Ride Rocket as it was closed all day. We joined the queue for Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem. It was the longest queue we waited in. Just as we nearly got there we spotted Rich waiting for us. He then joined us he had been on the Mummy a few times as the big ride was still closed. We all loved the ride it was a great way to finish off a great day in the park. We stopped for KFC takeaway on the way home as by now it was pretty late. We got back home about 10pm. Dinner, bath and bed. Shattered!!!
