We continued our journey north along the West Coach to Hokitika where there was a great beach. The hostel owner operated a Jade Workshop where you can buy, design, smooth and polish your own jade carvings. We did not participate (Ed is not into Jade) but enjoyed watching the others working hard on their set pieces. We were with a great crowd for the evening and went to a local glow-worm dell to give those who had not seen the glow-worms before the opportunity to do so!
