We stopped off next day at Okere Falls, just outside Rotorua and saw some amazing Kayakers. It hurt our arms just lifting our coffee cups watching them! As we entered Rotorua we had our picnic lunch at Kuirau Park before wandering around the steaming sulpherous holes and bubbling mud pools it contained. Scary thing was much of this could not be seen on our last visit for a minor eruption took place there in 2001!! Would be like to live in Rotorua - let me think!! The Rotorua museum, set in the old healing spa bath building, was very interesting which we visited the next day. If you've never been in N.Z. you just have to go to Rotorua for it's like nothing you will have seen before!!
