Today, Me and yara headed out to Germany. At first we were planing to get a ticked to Frankfurt, but there were no flights below 800 euro's and the train was going to be 200 euro oneway. This was way too much, so we decided to keep looking around the airport. After about 2 hours of talking and searching we decided to pick a different destination. Köln was only 42 euro's by train so we decided to have a look at that town. It took us about 3 hours to get there via the train from Amsterdam.

Man, i have never seen a more beutiful City. Getting out of the station, there was a big chuch called the Dom (church in German). Its the biggest thing i have ever seen. The building must have spaned about 50 meter's and went about 200 meter's high. It was masive.

After all the stuffing around in the airport, we got into germany at about 5 pm and we had not booked accomidation and information was closed. This was something we did not count on. We had a look at a few places but there was not too much in the way of accomidation, and the backpackers next to the station was fully booked out. We got some instructions from a lady in a german pub on where to go to find another one, so we walked around but had no luck. Yara had a look at the address for another place, but go the street name confused with the suburb, so we ended up in the middle of no where. By then it was about 7pm and no accomidcation yet. At this point a german student who could speak english came up to us and offered us help by letting us come back to her student accomidation and use the net. They were soo kind to us. They cooked us dinner and we had a great chat with many people around the world, as most of the stundents there were from other places.

We headed out at about 9:30 armed with some info on how to get to the last backpackers which we have not checked out. Thank god, we found the place and we ended up getting a whole dorm to our selfs. It was about 10:30 by the time we got there.

What a day.

Next day, we walked around the place, checked out a museum which had indan art as Yara wanted to have a look. We also got another dorm room at a different backpackers, and kept crusing around. Today we meet a canadian girl, and had a drink with her. Later that night we all meet up for drinks and a good night out. We ended up in a jazz club drinking german beer. It was a blast.
