Today was the day! We took the shuttle to the park entrance, bought our tickets and away we went into Disneyland. First order of the day was to take the railroad that goes around the park. We put Grandma on a number of rides--Autotopia, Roger Rabbit, Dumbo, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio--but her absolute hands-down favourite was Pirates of the Caribbean. We all got quite wet from that ride and she thought it was so thrilling.

Another highlight was visiting Mickey Mouse at his house. Mickey gave her a kiss on the cheek and an autograph. We also took the riverboat cruise and ate giant turkey legs, frozen lemonade, frozen chocolate covered bananas. Grandma and Mel's Mom watched the parade down Main Street while Paul and Mel went on the Indiana Jones ride which Paul loved.

We capped off the day with one more ride on the Pirates of the Caribbean and watched another round of fireworks from our hotel. All in all a wonderful day and a dream come true for Grandma.
