Again we have no-where booked when we arrive, but at least we have decided to treat ourselves, after all it is Christmas and we have spent four months roughing it......poor us eh! So we blow the budget big time and check into the Golden Landmark Hotel for 3 nights of pure luxury. We are finding it hard to actually leave the hotel and aren't really getting to see any sights, but theres not alot here to interest us anyway. Our breakfast is included and its buffet so we're making the most of that - huge fry ups, its a long long time since we've had them.
Its all about rest and relaxation before we hit Australia on Christmas day because we don't expect to get much between then and New Years.
So Singapore is the last stop in Asia and after 4 months we really are going to miss it. No more haggling over 50 cents, eating street food for next to nothing, formula 1 bus drivers, squat toilets (won't miss them anyway) and dodging motorbikes. The one thing we will miss the most is the friendliness and great welcome we received in every country.
