After finishing the CLASSIC GIBBON EXPERIENCE we made our way across the Mekong to Thailand. The Thai hospitality wins hands down again! From the minute we arrive you feel so welcome, on the bus to Chiang Rai a man sat beside us chatting all the way about travelling and his family. Got to hand it to the Thais they know how to make you feel welcome. We stayed 2 nights in Chiang Rai before moving on down to Chiang Mai. We were going to spend a few days there treking & having a laugh, but with time pressing on the main objective was to get down to Bangkok so we could get into Cambodia.
So after 2 nights there, we were on the bus for the 10hr trip.

We hit Bangkok early on the morning of the 27th & decided we would splash out on a flight into Phnom Penh. But before we could leave there was a little matter of visiting the MBK shopping centre & the Patpong night market. Which added an extra few kilos to the ruksacks.

Thailand hasn`t really changed in the 8years since we were here last, although, it was nice to see the North of the country this time. All the people are still smiling and trying to get you into the Ping Pong shows in Bangkok.
