Just a quick entry here as I dont have much time these days now I am a working man.
Last weekend we met up with Lauras relatives who live in Perth, Martin, Sharon, Liam and Sophie. After picking us up from our flat we took a trip to South Perth where Liam had a football match and then we headed back to Joondalup to where the West Coast Cavs reside. Joondalup is a suburb north of Perth city centre. Its was only on the drive up there that we realised actually how big Perth is.
As we had not yet seen a Kangaroo on our trip to Australia Martin said he knew the perfect spot in which to view these fine creatures. So we headed to the local graveyard which is a nice place as graveyards go, people even get married there. The reason the Roo's hang round the graveyard is that they eat the flowers and obviously these are not in short supply. Being able to get up close and watch the Kangaroos was brilliant but we did nt want to get too close as they had quite a turn of pace when they got up to full hopping speed.
Once we got back to the house Martin and Sharon treated us to the first full roast dinner we have had since February which went down an absolute treat. Before we had our dinner we took a quick trip to the coast to sea the beach and all the new dvelopments that are happening north of Perth. Although it was a cloudy day the beach looked awesome. The white sand stretched out in as far as the eye could see and we could wait to head back on a sunny day to spend more time at the beach. We had a great day hanging out and arranged to go back up to Joondalup the following weekend when hopefully the weather would be sunny and we would have another look at some of Perth's sights.
