Today we head off to Kampong Cham, we organise a mini van from our guest house, he tells us 4 persons across the seat, most mini vans have 3 seats across, we think ah! Must be a big mini van, cost is $5 each and takes 2.5 hours rather than 4.5 hours on the bus which is $4 so we take the quicker option! If you want a comfy ride DO NOT GET THE MINI VAN!!!! the bus may be longer but you get a seat. $1 extra gets you a 2 hour wait while your driver stacks the van to the ABSOLUTE SHITHOUSE and I mean stack it, 11 seats 23 people including 2 monks sitting on each others laps in one seat for close to 4 hours, kids spewing in bags with car sickness probably due to the over crowding of the van. A police officer pulls us over, I think they are going to go off at the driver.... No just looking to see if they are trying to sneak wood around under the seats, no we just have a shitload of people, thats OK continue on. My long legs are jammed in the nuts of the guy in front of me, we laugh and say if we stop fast yuo are in BIG trouble! He is one of the mini van organisers or the guys looking to shove as many people on board as possible! Are mate in front who had my knees jammed very close to his nuts disappears at a petrol station, we think he has gone to another van, about 40 minutes later he appears when we stop to let someone out, to my surprise his hair is blown back like he has been hitch hiking on the side of a jet plane he is cleaning his face as well..... OH,,,, you have been on the back of the van, smiles all round you mad bastard, but that is normal here. Our friend we meet up with the next day tells us she had 32 on board her van with 4 on the roof, excitement PLUS!

We arrive safely in Kampong Cham head down to the river front to find a place to stay. There are a few guest houses here as well as some good food cafe/bars. We find a hotel which was recommended to us by bar staff where we stop off for a quick drink, $7 room Mekong Hotel.

Later that afternoon we head down to the river, WOW it's buzzing through the day it is empty! Sound systems PUMPING with dance areobics going crazy with a big local following. One guy on stage, the other stack of people behind all following, dancing and exercising, funny and awesome all in one. Next to these guys are a bunch of local playing a different version of hacky sack but this one is crosseed between a dart and a hacky sack, flicking it off the bottom of your foot. You let it go over your head then lift your leg and flick it across from the bottom of the foot, hope the video works to give you a good view this looks sooo much fun and the locals here go mad for it every afternoon.
