As most of you already know, we left home for phase 2 of our trip in early September for 21 months, bringing us to May 2008 before arriving home! However, after Christmas away from home proved to be slightly harder than what we had expected, we agreed to come home before next Christmas, our plans were to sit down in the new year and re-analise our trip to allow us to be home for Christmas 2007. After some careful thought we considered the fact that if we waited until next November to come home would mean going from a New Zealand winter to an Irish winter.... (yuk, a year of winter!)

So.....after taking everything into consideration we have decided to finish work on the 30th March and then take 2 weeks to complete the few outstanding things we wish to do in Australia. We then fly to New Zealand on Friday 13th April and will spend just over 4 weeks traveling the whole of New Zealand in a hired camper van. Then it's off to Fiji on the 12th May for 9 days, where we hope to do an island cruise. We fly from Fiji to LA on the 21st May, where we re-fuel and then fly onwards to London and catch an afternoon flight back to Belfast on the 22nd of May.

This still allows us to visit the same countries and take everything in that we wanted to, but we don't have to work while doing so. We can just enjoy the 2 months of non-stop traveling without having to worry about work until after we arrive home! Then we have the added bonus of having our friends and family around us through the summer and into the festive season.
