Day in Paradise on Motu Topu

Flag of French Polynesia  , Society Islands,
Thursday, February 16, 2012

Our last day at the Hilton was spent on their private Motu Tapu which is just five minutes boat ride from the resort.

We were taken there at 9.15am along with two other couples. We were all set up on different sides of the island with our loungers etc.

First up was a walk around the small island to explore and take some pictures. We then went for a snorkel as we were a little hot after our walk. The water was crystal clear and we saw plenty of very colourful and friendly, inquisitive fish.

Next was our picnic lunch which was fantastic. We had beer, water, wine, salad, lovely chicken/salad sandwiches, fruit and small cakes. After a rest, we headed back into the water for more snorkeling.

We had a lovely day and were collected at around 2.30pm to head back to the hotel. We made our arrangements for our transfer in the morning to the main Island and the Intercontinental Le Moana Resort for the next part of our trip.

We are hoping to take some more sunset shots tonight and are going to head up the hill and check out the view. We had a lovely sunset dinner last night and hope will be just as nice tonight.
