We visited the Piazza del Popolo which was a very large and impressive square. We have a lovely sit in the sun for a while. The weather has been lovely. We climbed the hill to visit the Pincio gardens which overlook the piazza and have a great view over Rome.

We then walked along the bank of the Tiber river and had lunch in a park next to the Castle Saint Angelo. We crossed over and back on some impressive bridges and then made our way to the Vatican.

We soaked up the sun in St Peter's Square and then went to view St Peter's Basilica. It was enormous inside and highly impressive.

We made our way home via the metro and had a little rest before dinner. We had dinner at a local trattoria called Angelos.
