Where I stayed
Today we left a little later and headed to Lower Manhattan to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a nice day today; top of 12 degrees. Picked up some lunch at a little deli type store and ate it in the park between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. A little chilly but very nice view.
Took a heap of pictures and checked the mobile to find out we have a new Nephew named Jack. Very exciting news indeed! Can't wait to meet him when we get home.
We went to Central Park to buy a CBGB's print Paul noticed the other day and then walked back to the hotel. On the way home we went past thousands of people who were lined up around a block. We found out tonight it was the auditions for America's Next Top Model. Turns out after we had passed, someone pulled up in a car and let smoke out and then yelled 'bomb' there was a stampede and people will arrested. They ended up canceling the auditions!
By the time we got home it was about 4pm.We had a rest and then headed out to Times Square for some dinner - oh my goodness - it was madness! People everywhere...We didn't last long and ended up going to a dinner a few blocks away in Hell's Kitchen. Carolyn did buy a cool new hounds-tooth hat though...stand by for pics of said hat tomorrow...
Love Carolyn and Paul
