Today the plan was to get to Plzen, in the Czech Republic.  We had a long day of driving ahead of us!  However the German roads are great and we were at the boarder before we knew it.. was a bit of a shock to be asked for passports!  A bit flustered the passports were unlocked and given over and we were asked to park across the road... not knowing what was going on was pretty nerve racking!!  There was no problem, I think they must have taken a while to find the stamp, not too many people with out EU passports must drive through!
Anyhow, we made it to Plzen by about 6ish and first stop was the Pilsner Brewery.. where Pilsner beer was invented in 1842!  Made the drive worth while for the boys!  A few beers later we headed back to the vans for dinner, passing through the town square and a nice gothic church tower!
Next morning we were off to Cesky Krumlov where we went rafting down the river and generally relaxed in the sun!
Prague was the next big stop... and I think Prague has been one of my favourite places so far.  We trammed it in to town and did some shopping.  Later that night we headed to the famous Prague night club... then to the strippers, things you seemingly have to do in Prague!  Had a great night, drunk lots and ended up back at the camping ground at 4am!  The next day we strolled round town, Prague castle was pretty amazing!  Got a beautiful view of the city!  We walked through Mala Strana, through the park and over Charles Bridge, walked by the opera house and through the Jewish quarter... a really nice day... what a beautiful city!
Just outside Prague there is a little town called Kutna Hora, a little 14th century town that use to rival Prague... there is a huge silver mine below it, unfortunately it was closed on the day we were there but we did manage to see 'Sedlac Kostnice' a chapel crypt containing 40,000 people bones!  Rather freaky!  Basically, all the rich wanted to be buried in the same cemetery, so once it was full they dug everyone up, cleaned their bones and made pyramids, chandeliers and coats of arms out of them inside the church!  Crazy people back then!!!!
