Bordighera - yeah there, since you all have heard of it before.Well it is the second last named town (or third before the border), but when you get to this part of the Riviera it is a little like the Gold Coast. All the towns merge and you just think of it as the one place. We stayed in Bordighera Friday night as just a stop, then on Saturday morning headed to the border.
Halfway there we went inland for about 15kms to Dolceacqua.
What do you think? Pretty cool looking we thought. The inside of this place is straight out of the middle ages with little covered alleys and houses etc.
From Dolceaqua it was on to Cannes (France) and some shopping for the girls and rugby for Paul. The first we had seen since Australia and the only time other than Whiteley, UK.
Leaving late we had a fun drive to the middle of nowhere to find Le Domaine Des Clos (our accommodation). But we did aorund 10.30pm (with a little luck) for a well deserved sleep.
