The long bus ride to Andalucia put us into Seville in the late afternoon. We trudged across the city with our packs in search of the bus stop heading towards the youth hostel. We finally crammed ourselves into a bus filled with rush hour commuters and uncomfortably made our way there. That evening we enjoyed some authentic Chinese food.
On Tuesday we began the day doing some much needed laundry before venturing into the city. Our first stop was at the massive cathedral where we scaled the adjoining bell tower that was known as " La Giralda" and was built by the Moors long before the Reconquest. In the afternoon we walked alongside the walls of the Alcazar fortress and onto the Plaza de Espana that was located in a huge city park just to the south of the center of town. We tried to order some tapas around 7:30, but none of the restaurants were serving yet. In parts of Spain dinner isn't a possibility before 8:30 in the evening.
The next morning we concluded our brief stay and packed up again, slowly making our way back to the bus station.
