We all made it through our last drive! Caleb survived listening to Clare's Little People CD one more time and didn't lose his mind! We made our one and only stop at an Olive Garden for lunch in Watertown and throughly enjoyed it. When we arrived at the Cape Vincent ferry it looked full and we assumed we would have to wait for the next one. It looked like it only carried about 11 cars in total so we weren't even sure if we would be able to take it at all. The Captain came over and Bruce asked if we should bother waiting for him to come back. He said it would be no problem to fit us on this one. We thought he was absolutely nuts and could not begin to see how he was going to fit us on. He rearranged the cars already on the ferry and it was funny watching the other passengers reaction as they were probably thinking the same thing as us. It was unbelievable how he fit us on and we all laughed because he must not have seen our bike rack or didn't worry about it because the side gate wouldn't close all the way and our bike rack was hanging over the water! It looked hilarious and we can't imagine that Transport Canada would be too thrilled to see that!

Customs was no problem and we sailed right through! Loading onto the Wolfe Islander wasn't nearly as exciting but everyone really liked traveling home via the ferries. We made a couple of stops before we arrived home to give some hugs and kisses to family. It was so great to see them, we missed them all so much!

It's always good to get home after a trip, especially a long one. We have so many wonderful memories to look back upon and feel so grateful that we had this time together as a family.
