We got up to continue our zig zag back and forth between South Carolina and Georgia.  Please don't ask why!  Since we were driving right past Augusta on our way to Stone Mountain, the golfer amongst us just couldn't resist making the stop.  With the Masters on the following week, there was a busied excitement around Augusta National Golf Course.  Unfortunately for us, lots of security as well.  We were only able to drive around the perimeter of the course and peek in through the fence.  Next time we visit, hopefully it will be with tickets to the Masters.

We continued on to Stone Mountain just outside of Atlanta and got set up at the campground.  We headed into the park and took the gondola to the top of Stone Mountain.  It's 1683 ft above sea level and has a carving of 3 Civil War figures on the side of it.  The kids loved the ride up and the view was amazing.  They had fun running around on the top of the mountain which had moon like craters that made you feel like you were in a different world.

Upon arriving back on earth the boys and Bruce wanted to go to SkyHike, a high ropes course, Aimee and Clare were glad to watch from down below.  We were so proud of the boys for completing the course as they both, at different moments, had pretty scary obstacles to overcome.   After cheering the boys on, Clare went and played on a ropes course for younger children.  She was very proud of herself and after kept saying "I a big girl"!  While at Stone Mountain we had yet another game of mini golf, took the train around the base of the mountain, watched a 3D movie, and saw a baby animal show.  The night was finished off by a laser light show that is projected onto the granite mountain.   It was accompanied with music and was a tribute to the state of Georgia.

The next day we went back to the park and carried on as if it was like any other normal day.  Little did the boys know that they were going to be having a surprise that would blow their minds!  A few months ago we purchased tickets to the Final Four and the boys had no idea that we were going to the games.  For those of you not into sports, the Final Four is the semi finals of college basketball and a really big deal around our house.  We all fill out our brackets at the start of March Madness, even Aimee, who has won "the pool" two times and has no idea about basketball.  Most games are watched and every game is thoroughly discussed until Aimee can't take it any longer.  We decided to only purchase tickets for the guys to go as they were pretty expensive and the games wouldn't be ending until late.  The boys were very concerned about missing the Final Four since we were on the road and had said that the TV was on a 4 month hiatus!  We told them that we would make this one exception and would hook up the cable in the trailer to watch the game.  Great excitement was in the air as Bruce pretended to hook up the cable.  As per the plan, Bruce exclaimed that he had the wrong cord.  The boys faces fell until Bruce suggested that maybe we should just go to the game instead.  It took them a minute to realize that we had already purchased tickets and had been planning to go the whole time.  Fist pumps were flying and they both could not believe that they were going to see their beloved SU Orangemen in the final four.  The orange wigs never made the trip as one of the members of our family "never thought they would make it".  They laughed all the way to the Georgia Dome in their sweet ride and even though SU lost, everyone still had a great time.

Around 1am three very worn out and sleepy guys arrived back to the campground ready for bed and ready to head back to South Carolina again the next day!

Actually, he would have been more jealous if it had been the Masters. By the way, it was reported on the news that passes to the Masers, usually $250, are going for $12,000 at the moment.
