A day trip after classes to Chapala and Ajijic, towns on Lake Chapala, the largest lake in M�xico. The trip takes about an hour from the old bus station in Guadalajara, and if memory serves me correctly, was 30 pesos (~ CAD $3) each way. Very relaxing and tranquil atmosphere, and beautiful landscape with the mountains meeting the lake.

What I really loved about CEPE is that the Spanish classes were in the morning, so we had the afternoon and evenings free (except for the nights before midterms/exams/papers!). There are so many things to do in Guadalajara, but it's easy enough to explore other areas of Jalisco too.
