Where I stayed
Iloilo is one of four provinces on the island of Panay, and on the south coast lies Iloilo City, the biggest city in Western Visayas...
Got to the "bus stop" in Cuartero at 7:30am to catch a local Ceres commuter bus to Iloilo. There are two types of these buses: the air-conditioned ones and the non-airconditioned ones. It was about a 2-hour ride on sometimes bumpy roads and open windows for lack of air-conditioning, but had the chance to see some awesome scenery and pass by many small towns...
Basically spent the day shopping (what else is new?) and relaxing. Pleased that I had internet at the hotel, I spent a good part of the night uploading my pictures from South America onto facebook...
The next day, after breakfast, we took a taxi from the hotel (just under 30 min) to a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the unique Miag-ao Church (formally known as Santo Tomas de Villanueva Church)...
