I've lived in a city that was once the capital of the biggest empire in pre-Columbian America, travelled through 4 countries,
gotten over 100 mosquito bites (friends and I counted them in Manu, plus more in Iguazú),
seen the Amazon jungle, the Andes mountains, the Atacama desert, Patagonia, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans,
succumbed to a recurring stomach/GI illness every 2 weeks,
spent over 200 hours on swanky long-distance buses,
taken 8 planes,
met some truly amazing friends,
...
...
discovered that I could live outside my comfort zone and survive on the road and in hostels,
and had a blast doing all of it!
And although my travels through South America have recently concluded, I am expecting no less of an adventure in Asia in a few days...
