The last evening in Salento, we got a bus back to Armenia and stayed in a really nice, budget hotel. We visited a coffee theme park the following day. The rides weren't too far off Funderland but still great craic. One of our favourite parts of the day was a play depicting the history of coffee in Colombia. The dancing, acting and clothes were amasing. The setting of the park was huge and gorgeous. We needed to get a cable car from one side of the park to the other. Myself and Eoin
left early to get an overnight bus to Bogota, capital of Colombia. This ended up being a right ordeal as we had to head back to the hostel amidst hectic traffic, grab our bags and head back in the same direction of the park to arrive at the bus terminal. To top it off, upon arrival back in Armenia from the theme park, we took the local bus going South instead of North. After 10 minutes, locals began asking where we were heading to. When I told the man next to us, we were heading to our hotel, he was in knots. He got about ten people in on the conversation, explaining the way back. Of course, they all spoke Spanish and we hadn't a clue what was going on. I knew we were totally
out of place as the old man asked if he could take a picture of me. It was so funny yet we couldn't believe how nice everyone was being to us. A lady who had broken English hopped off the bus, asked us to follow her and showed us where to get the bus back. We were very grateful to her. After all the drama, we made our 8 hour bus to Bogota.
