Buffalo, wild turkey, prairie dogs Oh My!
Custer Park was amazing.  So much wild life.  Got so spoiled seeing the animals up close that the 10 foot rule became the norm.  10 ft = if not that close, who cares!    We visited Wind Cave which was somewhat of a disappointment - big, but very few formations.  Pat drove the 2nd half of the day, tossing everyone toward the windshield every time she tried to clutch, forgetting it was an automatic transmission.  We had a wonderful lunch at Blue Bell Lodge, where we discovered just what they really did with all those culled buffalo.  A harrowing drive on Needles highway revealed beautiful scenery and amazing narrow tunnels.   We stopped for dinner at Sylvan Lake Lodge and capped off the evening with carryout bottles from the local saloon and immersed ourselves in the pool and hot-tub at the hotel.  Denice's unerring nose led us to it.  She might have been aided by the fact it was 15 feet from our room.
