We arrived in London Thursday afternoon after a long day of travel. It was probably because we were tired and hungry but my first impression of London was a bit overwhelming. It is crazy how many people are in London! We wandered around the city seeing Big Ben and the house of Parliament, as well as Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square. I have also decided that hostel living is not my favorite. Side note: anyone going to London, Hostel 639 is not recommended. Seriously, choose another sleeping place. Our second day redeemed our opinion of London! We went to the National Gallery, saw Buckingham Palace, ate a traditional meal of fish and chips, went to a service at Westminster Abbey and took a long stroll on the Queens walk along the River Thames where we ended at the London bridge. Our final day in London, we watched the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, took a tour of the queen's state rooms inside the palace, saw the Crown Jewels (as well as the Jubilee collection), and explored the Tower of London. We jam packed our 2 and a half days, and now were on our way to Dublin!

Did you tease the palace guards to see if they would move?
