In the morning we were visited by David and Claire on their boat Clairibbean. While they were aboard, John came over and we mounted the bow sprit on Pas de Deux. We were soon joined by Mark and Diane Dewey and Paul and Linda Weiss, all residents of Norfolk, and enjoyed a nice morning Happy Hour.
We departed Willoughby Harbor at 1133 after our guests had left. The day was mostly sunny, dry with an early 10 kt NE wind, then flat. We had a nice sail out of Willoughby on main and jib, but the wind died just over an hour and a half later. We motored the rest of the way to Rudee Inlet south of Virginia Beach. Enjoyed seeing plenty of dolphin playing around the cape. Nabbed a few small fish trolling--threw them all back. We were anchored at Rudee Inlet at 1645 hours.
