Where I stayed
St Kilda at a friends place.
The day I left behind my old life & started my new life.
Melbourne is a city I fell in love with. I spent every day walking around the city & the suburbs looking for anything that dazzled me. By the amount of photos I got I'm sure you can tell that I didn't turn a corner without being amazed.
Degraves Place in the City Center is an amazing street to stroll down. I loved it, couldn't get enough of it. I went down it twice in two separate days. I saw quite a bit of the city for the short amount of time I spent there.
The transport system was amazing. Especially after living in Auckland for twenty years. For $11 I could go on any public transport as many times as I wanted for the whole day. That's bloody great if you ask me.
I went to the ACMI in Federation Square & had heaps of fun playing old video games & pretending I was in the matrix. I watched "Indigenous" performances there too, well in Federation Square, not the ACMI.
I walked along the Yarra River, beautiful walk but depressing history. I went to the Victoria Police Museum & I had to leave because I couldn't handle the history of that river.
I had my first slurpee & I loved it, although it's pretty much just a frozen coke/fanta that you can get at Maccas.
Firsts:
I honestly don't know what else to write. My photographs say most of what I love & see.
Oh, actually! While I was in Melbourne I saw Home & Away stars & got some autographs. Stood in line for just over 2hours. I can be a loser but hey, you only live once so why live with regrets!?
