Hey guys...I'm still in Bury...and still loving it...I went on a shopping spree to Edinburgh the other day and bought loads of stuff (I must stop spending my money...even as I say it I know that I'm too weak :p) ...what have I been up to...let's see...the day after The Man United tour...we went to Durham to bring Cathy back to her University...and wouldn't you know it, but I shopped some more (I'm just making up for lost time)...we went to the Durham Cathedral which is over 500 years old...that's like 5 times older than any Canadian building...we climbed to the top of the tower there, it was 325 bloody steep steps...I thought that I was going to die, but it was cool...I feel like I'm breathing history! The next day I chilled about the house and went for a walk to see the Robert Peel monument (he's the guy who invented the police force and why they are aptly named Bobbies) ... my highlight of said walk was of course taking in nature...i.e. we saw a horse!! Next day I hit Edinburgh (The 4th)...Next day...I was shattered and so I slept in dead (really for you non english speakers) late and we went to an old house called Turton House (something like that) and it's over 500 years old and Haunted!!! Cool innit! Today (and personally I think that this one is the best of all!) I went to the elementary school where Cathy teaches and I talked to three classes about Canada...and they were all so cute! They asked me what the temperature was?, What languages we speak? and if we have hotels?...ahhh children...aren't they fun! I'm going back tomorrow to talk to three more classes...

One other thing that I wanted to share with you is the weird crisp flavours they have here...crisps being chips for us back home...the have ham flavoured chips and steak flavoured and chicken flavoured and prawn flavoured...this extremely strange list goes on and on...they're nutters :p (Just kidding to all the English who read this)

I'll leave you with a little vocabulary...
a) if you come here never EVER call say fanny...to we Canadians (etc.) it may be an innocent reference to the buttocks...but to the English and Scottish it is a very rude word for the female genitalia! So no fanny pack references...
b)Due to the fact that a vast majority of the world's population refers to this sport as football...so thus shall I...it's no longer soccer :p (Football...with a pigskin will be american football)
c) Here rather than use a boring word like really...they use dead, proper or well as adjectives (i.e. that's dead nice = that's relly nice)
Cheers and have thyself a most wondrous day
