We have made it back to the hectic city of Cairo via a long annoying way...
We took a cab in Alexandria to the bus station but the cab dropped us off 2 blocks later and we got on a minibus instead, which took us to Central Cairo and not to the airport like we had planned...After walking around in the delightful afternoon heat for 20 minutes or so, we took one of the first hotels that we saw, which was quite cheap...only 42 Egyptian pounds altogether ($8)...
It was basic and the bathrooms were quite scungy, but hey the roof and beds were the important part right...
The next day we waited until the last possible second to check out and then headed to the airport via a cab...
We spent a LONG time at the airport...and during our wait, I started to discover many bites, and I couldn't stop scratching...it turns out that there were probably bed bugs in the cheap hotel and they feasted on my flesh all night, I must have had about 50 bites in total...
Next time, I won't save money just to sacrifice my flesh!

My final thoughts on Egypt:
Just as there are positives and negatives to every country, Egypt is no different...
Positives:
- A very well built up toruism industry, with for the most part reasonable prices for site entries
- A rich history, full of amazing things to see
- The Red Sea Coast is a beautiful and cheap place to relax and dive
- English is spoken widely due to the insane amount of tourism in the country

However, on the same note, there are many frustrating things that happen in the country:
- The worst to me is that, for the most part, tourists are looked at as money and more or less everywhere you go (with some wonderful exceptions), locals will try and rip you off...
- While the government makes an obscene amount of money each year from tourists, none of that money seems to go back into the people or the sites...some restoration work has been done, but there is garbage strewn about (especially at the pyramids) and there is a great deal of poverty in the country...the government needs to start helping its' people...

That's it for now, but I will probably add to it later, when I can remember more...
Honestly, as much as I've complained about Egypt, it is still an amazing place to visit...
