Sorry about the title as it is a trifle overdramatic...
Anywho (I say that  word far too often), we arranged a driver with our hotel, for a pretty good price and headed out to see the sites...
First we went to Dahshur, which is the oldest true pyramid (ie not a step one like zoser's at Saqqara) and here admission for students was only 15 Pound, which includes access to the site and into the pyramid, which was my first and only pyramid entry as I am quite claustrophobic (ridiculously so)...we climbed up about 30 metres of stairs and then walked down a small corridor another 64 metres, (basically crouched down) and saw some empty chambers, where I constantly contemplated about the effects of an earthquake if one were to occur...
Luckily we got out ok :p (I worry too much I know!)
There are some other pyramids on the site, but as it is on a military base, you can't go too close...but they are worth a look
Another nice thing about Dahshur, is that it was only opened to the public 6 years ago, so it is not in the slightest bit touristy and much better value to get in and have a pyramid fix...

Second: Saqqara, here we have the oldest attempt at a pyramid, Zoser's step pyramid, which is still pretty cool to see...25 pounds entrance and you can go in a tomb and a building to see some nice carvings...

Third:  We hit the tourist hotspot of Giza which was, not so surpirsingly, filled with tourists...
We saw the Sphinx and the Pyramids and got offered many things to buy (that's never happened before :p haha) and walked around...it was a great place to visit, but as far as one's first pyramid, Dahshur is infinitely better!

Now we're back chilling...
To Alexandria tomorrow
